Who uses printed maps anymore? Probably not a lot. I bought this as a backup if all else fails between the built-in GPS in the car or using Waze or Google Maps on Android. We also have them to give to real estate clients that don't have or know how to use technology.If you need a printed map for any reason, The Thomas Guide is probably the best there is out there.
These are not the perfectly detailed maps of the 90's anymore, BUT for the price and what they are, I am still impressed. The Thomas Guides provide enough different and detailed information to help you locate the majority of what you need. Perfect would cost a lot, IF it even exists. BUT, having had to do a lot of driving in unknown territory, this is my third different Thomas Guide in a year, and it really helped me a lot. I'd recommend this San Diego County or any other Thomas Street Guide.
If you live in San Diego you should have this in your car. Don’t always rely on your turn by turn GPS sometimes it will take you out into the desert and leave you for dead.

this book is very easy to read and follow as all the Thomas bros have always been great colors and guild lines i pretty much use a gps but its always nice to a full view map in front of to to see very fast shipping and priced right ---the real funny thing was i could not find one local any where near San Diego ( i live 50 miles from there ) so i found it on Amazon like always --so enjoy and good day
It is very important for me to have a map of the streets in San Diego as I am new to the area ,and I need to become familiar with the area when I take the buses.
